Re: Calculation of the characteristic limits for alpha measurements
It turns out that when calculating the characteristic limits for alpha measurements under very rarely occurring conditions, an incorrect calculation of the uncertainties and thus the values of ECG, NWG, best estimate and uncertainty, as well as the limits of the coverage area can occur. The error occurs if no count occurs in the background spectrum used in the ROI used and if there are also low count events in the sample spectrum (e.g. 2 to 4).
The error is resolved by copying the DLL in question to the Genie2k/EXEFILES directory, replacing the existing file of the same name. Before copying, the Alpha Spectrometry window should be closed.
